Easy Things You Can Do to Increase Sales TODAY

You are a Managing Director.  In front of you stands a genie.

 

You get three wishes.

 

You ask for your 1) business to grow, 2) profits to increase, and 3) to make more money.

 

The genie says, ok we can do that, but it starts with sales.  You need more sales.  And you don’t need me the magic genie.  Instead start with these tips:

 

1)      Incentivise your team to sell – your whole team

 

Maybe you have a sales team that is already incentivised by commission.  But do you have incentives for non-sales team employees?  You would be surprised who is able to sell what with a little motivation.  Set up a formal arrangement by which any employee is rewarded for new business they bring in.  And remind them regularly – unless it is top of mind, even highly motivated employees will forget they can earn money this way.

3)      Streamline purchasing

 

Make buying your product easier.  Ensure your customers can buy online if at all possible and ensure there is a highly visible Customer Service number so they can make a purchase over the phone.  Do you have a showroom or place they can view your product?  Does ‘signing up’ require reading three 20 page contracts and worrying about the fine print?
